Friday Choon 27th November

Ok this weeks Friday Choon is a remix by RITON who over the years has been one of my favourite remixers. I would basically buy anything he remixes.

This time he has taken this supposedly bad ass female MC and put some interesting electornic noises and beats down underneath the vocal, it's very catchy and I'm sure it is going to be a Hooj Choon!

This is a new Choon by Kid Sister called Hand Hi.




As I'm feeling generous this week I'd like to share another remix by the amazing RITON. This one was orginally by Wolfmother and it's called New Moon Rising.

Friday 20th Choon

OK this week is a Choon with a story. This Friday Choon is form Major Lazer which is a colleaboration between two Dj/producers called Switch and Diplo. They created a concept album about a guy called Major Lazer who is a bionic Jamaican super-commando and nightclub owner who fights zombies and vampires on a rocket-powered skateboard. He apparently lost his arms in the Zombie wars of 1984 and ended with Lazer Guns fitted instead.....

The music they make is pretty unusual and is exactly what you might expect from a Jamaican Super-commando quite literally armed with Lazers .... The album is very weird but also worth a listen it's called Guns don't kill people, Lazers do.

Friday 13th Choon

Today is a very sad for someone close to me so this is a mellow and respectful choon in reflection of that. It's by Lykke Li and it's called Possibility, this is from the soundtrack of the new Twilight Movie: New Moon. It's one of those very haunting and beautiful tracks. Sent shivers down my spine the first time I heard it. Definitely a grower and I reckon this will be huge, remember when it's all over the radio you heard it here first!

Anyway this is for everyone who is a little bit sad today and don't worry we'll be back next week with a ear drum busting electronic monster.

6th November Friday Choon

Following right up from Guy Fawkes night here's an explosive choon that sure to set your ears a light....sorry too many puns! I'll stop now... :)

This track is by some dude called Jack Splash and features none other than the legendary Missy-misdemeanour-Elliot who just says yeah, let's go and other stuff and generally sounds gangstah!!! TBH I'd play anything that features Missy E it's just one of those rules. If the rmeix features Missy Elliot then it's gotta be good.

This version has been remixed by Sinden who is one of my fav rmeixer just now, he always makes choons a little bit tougher and noisier but still funky...
